Objectives of the CIII

  • Help innovators to develop new products
  • Promote technology startups
  • Provide high end industrial training to increase chances of good quality jobs
  • Provide co-working space for young entrepreneurs for promotion of startups
  • Provide strong mentorship to those who want to invent new products, services and processes and to those who want to set up their own companies
  • Provide support for IPR and technology management - patents, copyrights, design registration, etc.and its commercialization
  • Create mechanism for access to risk capital to startups llike Seed Funding, Angel Investment, Venture Capital and Private Equity, etc

Incubation & Co-Working

 

The CllI will function as a business incubator to support young innovators and businesses and enable them to thrive. The incubation program will aim to take enterprises from idea stage to market to thriving businesses. The services offered through the incubator will include:

  • industry and business mentoring
  • basic business planning and operating services
  • co-working workplace, meeting areas, demonstration and event space
  • access to funding opportunities and marketing support
  • business acceleration support linkages to key economic agencies, government bodies and private enterprises

The CllI will also be a platform for innovation and R&D, not just for new innovators and startup companies, but also for local industries and SMEs to extend their R&D activities, whereby reducing their cost and space requirements for undertaking R&D activities and to overcome their business challenges. The centre thus becomes a shared R&D facility for all local industries and enables them to develop new products and service offerings in the market.
